With your friendly and knowledgeable COSTUMED guide, enjoy a narrated driving tour of Richmond’s graciously restored historic neighborhoods. From the comfort of your motorcoach, you'll see the James River, site of commerce and industry in early Richmond; Shockoe Slip, a cobblestone warehouse district; Shockoe Bottom, Richmond's original tobacco and slave auction house district; Church Hill, noted for its unique cast iron patterns and location of St. John’s Church, site of Patrick Henry’s “Liberty or Death” speech; Downtown, home to the Virginia State Capitol, designed by Thomas Jefferson; and the famed Monument Avenue, one of America’s most beautiful boulevards.
Tour cost is $23 per person and registration is required. All tours will depart from the front of Main Street Station, located at 1500 E. Main Street.
There is street parking on many of the area streets, and the two-hour time limit does not apply on Saturdays. For lot parking, we recommend parking in one of the Main Street Station parking lots for a reasonable price. Visit the Richmond Metropolitan Authority’s webpage for more information about Main Street Station, including directions.
