On June 10, 2012, STUART’S RIDE became an official part of the Virginia Civil War Trails system. As of March 2013, eight markers are in place like the one located at Brook Run in Henrico County pictured above.
The trail passes through four counties and will require twice the number of markers now in place to tell the complete story. With the help of committed people like you, it is the hope of RICHMOND DISCOVERIES and the STUART’S RIDE Committee that more trail markers will be added throughout the Civil War Sesquicentennial. By the Civil War Sesquicentennial's end in 2015, we would like to have the complete trail marked.
